A pesar de los avances en la comprensi\u00f3n y el tratamiento de esta condici\u00f3n, muchas personas con S\u00edndrome de Down <strong>siguen enfrentando barreras para acceder a la educaci\u00f3n, el empleo y la inclusi\u00f3n social. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As\u00ed nace Instituto Down de Colima, con la meta de brindar educaci\u00f3n y capacitaci\u00f3n a este sector de la poblaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>El Instituto Down de Colima IAP es una organizaci\u00f3n que se dedica a brindar educaci\u00f3n y capacitaci\u00f3n a ni\u00f1os, adolescentes, j\u00f3venes y adultos con esta condici\u00f3n. Con el objetivo de desarrollar al m\u00e1ximo las capacidades y habilidades de cada alumno, para lograr la plena inclusi\u00f3n en la vida familiar, comunitaria, laboral y social.<\/p>\n<p>Actualmente, <strong>atienden a 48 ni\u00f1os<\/strong>, distribuidos en 4 niveles de atenci\u00f3n y un grupo de Estimulaci\u00f3n Temprana (se brinda a partir de los 45 d\u00edas de nacido del ni\u00f1o con S\u00edndrome de Down, donde la madre de familia acude junto con su hijo a trabajar terapia f\u00edsica y de sensopercepci\u00f3n con la finalidad de desarrollar sus habilidades f\u00edsicas, intelectuales y sociales a trav\u00e9s de diversos est\u00edmulos).<\/p>\n<p>Todo esto se logra a trav\u00e9s de un completo programa de <strong>\u201cAcci\u00f3n Educativa\u201d <\/strong>y capacitaci\u00f3n para el trabajo, adem\u00e1s de otorgar servicios de transporte escolar, de capacitaci\u00f3n laboral, desayuno escolar, talleres de padres, de c\u00f3mputo, de Arte Down, actividades extraescolares como son: festivales y visitas a museos o salidas recreativas.<\/p>\n<p>Puedes unirte a su misi\u00f3n de brindar oportunidades de educaci\u00f3n y capacitaci\u00f3n a personas con S\u00edndrome de Down.
