La mayor\u00eda de ellos no cuentan con los recursos necesarios para acceder a un tratamiento o diagn\u00f3stico.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00bfQu\u00e9 es la fibrosis qu\u00edstica? <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Es una afecci\u00f3n hereditaria y cr\u00f3nica que afecta el funcionamiento de las gl\u00e1ndulas exocrinas; las cuales producen mucosidad, sudor, saliva y fluidos digestivos. <strong>Estos l\u00edquidos tambi\u00e9n son conocidos como secreciones y su funci\u00f3n es proteger los conductos que est\u00e1n en el interior del cuerpo.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Cuando esta anomal\u00eda se presenta, hace que estos fluidos se vuelvan de una materia espesa, la cual provoca bloqueos en los conductos, principalmente en el p\u00e1ncreas y los pulmones. <strong>Algunas de sus complicaciones son el da\u00f1o de las v\u00edas respiratorias, colapso pulmonar, etc\u00e9tera. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Es un padecimiento el cual empeora con el tiempo y necesita de cuidados diarios. Por ello es importante que los tratamientos sean accesibles. <strong>Ya que cada a\u00f1o, entre 250 y 300 ni\u00f1os nacen con FQ. <\/strong>Y solo el 15% puede acceder a los tratamientos, debido a la falta de recursos e infraestructura.<\/p>\n<p>La Asociaci\u00f3n Mexicana de Fibrosis Qu\u00edstica, fundada en 1982, por el Ing. Antonio Guti\u00e9rrez Cortina, <strong>trabaja el mejoramiento del diagn\u00f3stico oportuno, el acceso a los medicamentos <\/strong>y brindar una atenci\u00f3n de calidad a poblaciones, que mayormente se encuentran vulnerables, de M\u00e9xico.<\/p>\n<p>Asimismo, difunden el conocimiento sobre fibrosis qu\u00edstica a pacientes, familiares, m\u00e9dicos, personal de salud y p\u00fablico general con un enfoque multidisciplinario para el diagn\u00f3stico y el tratamiento integral.<\/p>\n<p>Su misi\u00f3n consiste en mejorar la calidad y esperanza de vida de las personas con Fibrosis Qu\u00edstica, de manera especializada e integral.<\/p>\n<p>Debido a que esta enfermedad act\u00faa de manera muy violenta, la esperanza de vida es muy baja.
